Countdown has begun!

Well, the countdown has begun for leaving RVA! We are in our last full week which is packed with important classes and events. We have enjoyed some free time as a family recently trying to maintain some normal activities for the girls. We went back to D.C. 2 weeks ago, attended a BD party for Claire's friend, and went to a "coffee house" party here with friends.

We are looking forward to packing up and moving on next week although that will include some sad goodbye's. Well, not goodbye's but rather......until we are together again. I think we need to get well acquainted with those words because it seems that is the path of our life now, goodbye's.

Countdown has begun!

D.C. or Bust!

The day after Thanksgiving we traveled to Washington D.C. for a fun day of observing other cultures and seeing a few sites. We did get to observe some other ethnic groups which was neat but our tour guide (aka Mark) gave us the grand tour that missed every major monument in D.C.!! I am still not sure how you do that but we managed it somehow.

We did have a great time and maybe we will get a chance to go back before we leave VA. What a inspiring city!

Happy Birthday to Daddy!

Today is Mark's Birthday and the girls and I baked him his very favorite cake, took him out to dinner and just spent the evening hanging out together! It was fun. They really enjoyed fixing and decorating his cake and I have to admit....it tastes really good!

Happy Birthday Daddy, we love you!

Fun School Days!

Yesterday was Claire's story time day when her class gets a visit from a storyteller. She also was the "leader" of her class (always on Wednesday) and that always makes her smile. I think she just enjoys the CONTROL!

Olivia had her first field trip today. The weather did not cooperate so they had to keep it indoors. Her class went to a local Children's Museum but they had a list of items to find. She really had a good time and hasn't quit talking about her day.

As for Mark and I, we are halfway there! Looking forward to moving us all down to sunny and warm COSTA RICA!

Shots...OUCH!

We had our first of 3 shot days today. It went better than expected....I must say. The girls got 2 each and Mark and I both got 3 each. Our arms are a little sore and we will probably take some motrin all weekend but it could have been worse! We think we will go now and loosen our arms up with a little bowling!!

SHARK!

Shark! Well, the girls had a neat day at school today. The ocean visited their class and they got to see and touch a crab, shark, and octopus! YUK! They got a real kick out of it and even got to bring home a real shark tooth.
